Hello, I’m Lucy,
Welcome to Lucy’s Kitchen!
I’ve always loved cooking for people. For me, some of the best moments happen around the kitchen table, sharing delicious food with family and friends. Feeding people great food makes me happy!
When I’m not cooking, I’m happiest by the sea or out sailing — so living in landlocked Oxfordshire is rather odd! Luckily, messing about on the river in Henley helps to keep me happy between trips to the coast.
After years of cooking for family and friends at home and, more recently, for private clients, I’m excited to be building Lucy’s Kitchen.
It’s all about delicious, seasonal food, generous sharing dishes and relaxed, informal entertaining. My cooking takes inspiration from around the world, with homemade nibbles and canapés, delicious main courses, interesting salads and side dishes, and homemade puddings and cakes.
I cook for lunches, suppers and small gatherings, creating menus to suit the occasion. Much of the preparation can be done ahead, with everything finished and presented at your home, so you can spend less time worrying about the food and more time enjoying your guests.
My aim is simple: to make entertaining feel calm, relaxed and completely stress-free, with delicious food at the heart of it all.
I’m based near Henley-on-Thames and look forward to cooking for more people locally in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Lucy provided a fabulous lunch for me and my guests. She chose the menu, which was perfect for the hot summer day, and bought all the food. She then came to my home, having earlier prepared what she could, and then produced a great feast from my kitchen, which she then left in pristine condition. Delicious food, and some unusual combinations, which everyone appreciated. I would highly recommend her to all.

I wanted to write properly to thank you for the catering on the river at Henley this year. It was outstanding from start to finish. Producing top quality food on a moving boat, with guests all around you, is no small feat, and you made it look effortless.
Every dish arrived beautifully presented and perfectly timed, the range of canapés and nibbles are still being talked about with more than one guest asking me if they could do this every year!
What struck me most was the manner of it all: calm, warm, and attentive without ever intruding. Glasses were never empty and nothing was too much trouble. You read the day perfectly and left us free to enjoy the river and each other's company. You turned a lovely day out into one we will remember for a very long time.
I will be recommending you without hesitation, and I very much hope we can do it all again.
